In honor of this book, I made a quilt that has Harlem Renaissance Musicians on it.
I gave it to my favorite 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Jones!!
This is a great book. In the book, the little boy is excited about meeting a poet called Langston Hughes. One of his poems is called Harlem. Have you read it? Do you know other poems by Langston Hughes?
